Kindness is not an act, it is a lifestyle. Teach Your Family to Help Make A Difference in the Orlando Community
Part of educating our families is teaching them to be good, kind members of their community, to contribute their time and talents to the community that in turn serves and protects them. The best lessons are taught by example. There are several charitable groups in every community that welcome volunteers. By donating your time and talents and bringing your children along to do the same, you are helping them become better citizens and more compassionate people. The Second Harvest Food Bank is an excellent place to start. Volunteers are the heart of the FoodBank. They organize food drives, sort donations, fill agency orders and help with office work and mailings. Some volunteers contribute their professional or trade skills. They provide a pleasant and friendly working environment and the chance to make a difference in the lives of the people they serve. Visit their website for more information.
